	A newly renovated house situated in the tiny hamlet of ' La Gonterie Bx ' just 6 kms from the beautiful town of Brantome.
Brantome is an island town set between two branches of the River Dronne. Also known as the ' Venise of the Perigord ' it boasts an ancient Abbey, an eleventh century bell tower and cave dwellings. Many summertime activities take place on and beside the river. Fishing , swimming and canoeing are favourite pastimes. Bike hire is also available. There is a busy weekly market and a good variety of shops and banks. Eating out is a way of life here and Brantome offers a wide selection of good restaurants. At nearby Champangac de Belair and Bourdeilles there are public swimming pools and tennis courts.
The accommodation is on two floors, the first floor consists of a small kitchen with gas cooker, washing machine & microwave. A pleasant sitting/dining room with a small covered balcony and a door leading onto a garden with barbecue and plenty of garden furniture. A large double bedroom with en suite shower room and WC. There are three bedrooms on the second floor ( one double, one twin and one single ) and a bathroom with bath, basin and WC. La Vielle Maison can be rented separately or together with La Gonterie Blanche (ref no. 24339) and la Gonterie Verte (ref. No 24101) for parties up to 16.
