	Les Maines is an old farmhouse that has been expertly restored and improved by its owners. The wing of the house that is available to guests is completely private ,with its own entrance and drive way.This property has been awarded "4 Globes" by Where On Earth for the year 2003 based on feed back from previous guests during year 2002.
It is set on the outskirts of the villages of Cherval and Verteillac in a rural setting amidst farmland.The house is set in 2 hectares of land set aside to garden and trees. In the garden is a heated swimming pool which can be covered to prolong the use on winter days with swim against current facility. A separate shower room and w.c beside the pool make it very convenient for the guests. The accommodation is well decorated and comfortably furnished. There is a modern kitchen with oven, hob, microwave and a dishwasher. This is part of the large open plan dining area and lounge. The lounge area is nicely furnished and has a television . ( French ) There is a ground floor shower room and a separate w.c. Leading from the kitchen is a laundry room with a washing machine.
The house offers sleeping facilities for 6 persons in two double bedrooms and a large open plan sleeping area with a sofa bed suitable for children. Each bedroom is comfortably furnished with traditional French style furniture. There is also a bathroom and w.c. on this floor . Outside is a patio area and B.B.Q with tables and chairs. The garden is fenced and secure. There is table tennis. The house is double glazed and centrally heated thus making it a very comfortable residence any time of the year. The area is very beautiful and there is plenty to do and see. The market towns of Mareuil is 14 kms to the north and Riberac is 20kms to the south.
